- NAKS is a self-regulatory organization in the form of the association based on the principle of voluntary membership, uniting legal entities engaged in conformity assessment in the welding field.
NAKS is the legal successor of the National Welding Control Committee established in 1992 following the resolution of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences in coordination with the Federal Mining and Industrial Supervision Authority of Russia (Gosgortehnadzor) and Federal Atomic Industry Supervision Authority of Russia (Gosatomnadzor), as well as with the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Technical Policy and Federal Technical Supervision and Metrology Authority (Gosstandart).
NAKS is the central body of the welding and inspection personnel certification system of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) authorized by the Council for Professional Qualifications in the Welding Field of the National Council under the President of the Russian Federation on Professional Qualifications; NAKS hosts the Technical Committee of Rosstandart TC 364 Welding and Related Processes and the central body of the non-destructive testing system of the Russian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics. - Сategories:
